Ayurvedic Rice Pudding

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 - 1 cup cooked basmati rice

  • 1 cups almond milk 

  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • 1 dash pepper

  • 2-3 cloves

  • 1/2 inch fresh ginger (grated)

  • 2 T raw pistachios 

  • 2 dates

  • Milk of choice

  • Optional: Coconut shreds, maple syrup, almond slices, sliced pear, orange slices

DIRECTIONS

Place all ingredients in a crockpot and cook overnight. Alternatively, simmer on low for an hour. Serve with warm sliced pears, orange slices, coconut shreds, almond slices and/or maple syrup and milk of choice. Enjoy!
