Why all the Chai?

Have you ever wondered why people who love Ayurveda also love Chai so much? Well, the truth is that besides being delicious, chai offers great health benefits. Ayurveda views spices as one of the greatest medicines available and chai is no different. A blend of delicious culinary spices served in warm water and/or milk is rich in antioxidants, boosts digestion and alleviates many digestive disturbances (gas, bloating, heaviness after meals, and more) and reduces inflammation in the body. It improves immunity and can alleviate symptoms from the common cold, period pain, nausea, and headaches. Plus, it’s heart healthy. Not all chais are created equal, though. Chai made with whole or powdered spices or herbs, chosen for the season or symptom, and taken at least an hour away from meals are the best chais.

This warming winter chai is great for the vata season with a blend of soothing, warm, grounding spices.

Enjoy!
