Autumn Snack for Grounding

 Stuffed Dates & Yogi Tea

Stuffed Date Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

Soft, pitted dates

Almond Butter (or seed or nut butter of choice)

Tahini

Pinch each of cardamom, ginger, nutmeg

Coconut Flakes and Almonds or Cashews (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

Mix nut or seed butter with spices.  Using a sharp knife, split open one side of the date. Spoon ½ teaspoon spiced butter in to date. Add cashew or almond and top with coconut, if desired. Drizzle with tahini. 

Yogi Tea Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

1 TBS fresh ginger, thinly sliced

1 cinnamon stick

1/2 tsp tulsi

3 cloves

3-5 cardamom pods, cracked

3 black peppercorns

3 cups water

Optional: 1 bag of Rose Tea, Black Tea, Dandelion Tea or Tea of Choice

Optional: Milk of choice

Optional: Sweetener of choice - maple syrup, honey or agave

Add water and all ingredients, except tea bag, to a pot. Bring to a boil. Boil for 30 or more minutes. Turn off heat, add optional tea bag and let sit 5-10 minutes. Strain. Add milk and sweetener of choice. Enjoy!

*Note: only add honey once tea has cooled enough to drink.
